Fabric FAQ
1. What types of fabrics does Chisusport offer?
chisusport offers a curated range of technical fabrics for high-performance sportswear, including polyester, polyester/spandex blends, high-stretch fabrics, cut-resistant fabrics, fleece, and functional outerwear fabrics. Fabric selection is matched to the specific sport, fit, performance requirements, and printing method.
2. What fabric is best for custom sublimation sportswear?
Polyester-based fabrics are generally the preferred choice for sublimation printing because the dye bonds directly with polyester fibers. Chisusport uses sublimation for products such as speed skating suits, ski racing apparel, hockey jerseys, and rowing unisuits to achieve detailed, durable, full-color designs.
3. Do you offer stretch fabrics for professional sportswear?
Yes. chisusport offers high-stretch polyester/spandex fabrics designed for close-fitting competition apparel. These fabrics provide flexibility and body movement while supporting aerodynamic and performance-oriented garment construction.
4. Can you recommend the right fabric for my sport?
Yes. chisusport can recommend fabrics based on the sport, climate, garment design, stretch requirement, protection level, weight, breathability, and printing method. Different sports such as speed skating, skiing, rowing, hockey, and karting require different fabric performance characteristics.
5. Do you offer cut-resistant fabrics?
Yes. chisusport offers cut-resistant fabrics for applications such as short-track speed skating and alpine racing apparel. Selected products are designed around EN 388 cut-resistance requirements, with specific protection levels depending on the product and construction.
6. Can I choose my own fabric for OEM/ODM projects?
Yes. Customers can specify their preferred fabric, or Chisusport can source a suitable option from its textile library. For OEM and ODM projects, the fabric is evaluated together with the pattern, fit, printing process, and intended use before production.
7. Can your fabrics be used for full sublimation printing?
Yes. chisusport provides fabrics suitable for full sublimation printing. Sublimation allows team colors, logos, sponsor graphics, names, numbers, and complex patterns to be integrated directly into the fabric design without adding significant surface weight.
8. How do I choose between lightweight and heavy fabrics?
The choice depends on the sport and intended use. Lightweight fabrics are suitable when low weight, flexibility, and breathability are priorities, while heavier or insulated fabrics may be better for cold-weather, windproof, or warm-up garments. Chisusport can recommend the appropriate fabric based on your application.
9. Can I request a fabric sample before placing a bulk order?
Yes. chisusport provides physical samples using the selected fabrics and finishes. Customers can review the actual fabric, fit, color, printing, and construction before approving production. Sample development is typically completed within the stated sample lead-time range.
10. Can the same fabric be used for different sports?
Not always. Although some technical fabrics can be used across multiple sports, each sport has different requirements for stretch, weight, breathability, protection, warmth, water resistance, and durability. chisusport recommends selecting the fabric based on the actual performance requirements of each product rather than using one fabric for every application.
